Making your own Bedhead?

Materials:
MDF: 18mm thick.
Foam: Firmness: Ask medium density foam. Thickness: Probably the most popular thickness is 2”/5cm foam, but again this is up to you. Width & Length:
Request your foam to be cut 1”/2.5cm both wider and longer than your MDF board. This ensures you don’t have sharp edges.

Style:
Rounded corners, or box-like with side panels and square corners
Fabric panels: You may like to sew panels in your material to break up the expanse with some subtle detail
Piping around the edge: in the same or contrasting fabric
Covered buttons: perhaps in the same fabric or perhaps in a contrasting fabric. Padgham Upholstery can make up your covered buttons for you. They can be pulled through the bedhead using a buttoning needle and buttoning twine. Make sure you drill holes in the MDF so you can pull your twine through and attach to the back.

Materials can be purchased online, over the phone or in our store. We are also very happy to send you fabric samples free of charge.
